Dancing is important for our culture. It's for our relatives.
Dancing is a way to express my emotions, my feelings. It's a way to let a lot of things out.
Men's traditional dance - Began as a war dance, telling stories of battle, hunting, and protecting the people.
Giniimimin - We Dance for many reasons. We dance to heal, to communicate and to show joy and sorrow.
Giniimimin - Fancy Dance is a fast paced energetic dance featuring intricate footwork and colorful regalia.
Giniimimin - Powwows, including those at Leech Lake, serve as intertribal gatherings to connect with different tribes and share unique traditions.
